The Old Westfield school fields has two areas all fully inspected and approved by Archery GB which allow us to shoot at distances up to 100yds.
Lower field |
The fields are terraced with gentle slopes between and are currently home to local football and rugby clubs. The lower field is flat and quite sheltered. The picture to the right is taken from the shooting line, it is an ideal location as shooting is towards the North so we never shoot into the sun.
Upper field |
The upper field is again flat and has fencing to one side, shooting here is towards the west so the sun is to our left. We shoot towards natural banking so overshoot is not a problem. The upper field is flat and close to the storage area and car parks.
During winter months when fields are waterlogged or
used by other sports we shoot on the redgras area,
with three areas we have somewhere to shoot
all year round outdoors.
Mosborough Miners Welfare |
Outside is a superb crown green bowls area and two rugby pitches. There is ample parking and easy access to all facilities.
Mosborough RUFC grounds |
With the kind permission of Mosborough RUFC, and when possible we hold special events on the sports field behind the club.
This is a flat, well kept sports field which allows shooting towards the north, never towards the sun.
All the facilities of the club are close at hand making this an ideal venue.

Additionally in winter we shoot indoors at the South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Training Centre, Beaver Hill Sheffield.
